1. How is the Vibe Lighter different from a traditional open flame lighter?

They have several key differences:

• First, it is 100% flameless. The flame is replaced by a high-intensity electric arc.
  
• Second, there is no fuel. The Vibe Lighter is electric and is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
  
• Third, as it is flameless, there are no more flare-ups so it can be used at any angle.
  
• When the battery indicator is showing that it’s time to recharge, simply plug it into any powered USB port with the included Micro USB cable.
  

2. What can I light with the Vibe Lighter?

The Vibe Lighter can be used to light essentially everything you can with a traditional lighter. For example, it can light candles, wood wick candles, incense, paper, portable gas and propane BBQ’s, wicks, fireworks, gas and propane stoves and much more! The only limitation is what you can fit within the tip of the lighters' 2 electrodes that create the high-intensity electric arc.

3. How many lights do I get out of the Vibe Lighter per charge?

The Vibe Lighter can light between 70-100 times on a single charge, depending on the duration of each use.

4. How long does it take to charge?

If the battery is fully depleted, it can be recharged in roughly 1 hour, depending on the charger used.

5. How do I know when it is fully charged?

The LED on the bottom of the device will change from red to blue (Red = Charging. Blue = Charged) and all 4 battery indicator's LED's will be on and not flashing.

6. How can I clean the Vibe Lighter?

For best performance, ensure the tip of your Vibe Lighter is clean at all times.  If the lighter is mostly used for lighting cigarettes, we recommend cleaning it after every 20-40 cigarettes lit.

If there is residue or buildup around the ceramic tip, use a clean and dry toothbrush to gently brush it away. Do not use any abrasives or liquid cleaner.

7. Does the Vibe Lighter make a noise when it is turned on?

The Vibe Lighter is very quiet with a faint buzzing sound coming from the electric arc.

8. What kind of battery does the Vibe Lighter use?

The Vibe Lighter uses a quality rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.

9. Are there any issues with shipping the product internationally?

No, unlike a traditional lighter, the Vibe Lighter does not contain any flammable fuel. 

10. Can I stick my fingers in between the 2 electrodes at the tip?

Just as you would handle a regular lighter, you should never attempt to touch the heated area that is located between the electrodes, which are inset in the U-shaped guard at the tip of the lighter. This opening is less than half an inch (1 cm) wide, just enough for 1 fingertip. If you were to accidentally come in contact with the heated area, you can expect to have a similar effect to a traditional flame. However, unlike a large open flame, the area that comes in contact with your skin is very minimal. Vibe Lighters feature U-shaped guards to minimise the risk of accidental contact as much as possible.

This product will not electrocute you. It is similar to getting a burn with a regular lighter except the coverage is more like 2 hot pins to your skin.

11. What safety features are included in the Vibe Lighter?

Safety is one of our priorities.

Vibe Lighter includes 5 safety features: Safety Slider,  no flame or fuel, overheat protection.

When not in use, the tip of the Vibe Lighter can be concealed by sliding the Safety Slider in the closed position. The lighter will not activate in this position.

Unlike a regular candle lighter, the Vibe Lighter has no flame that can flare-up. Dangerous flare-ups are common with traditional lighters due to a buildup of flammable gas. Whether using the lighter horizontally or vertically, there is no need to worry about a flame flaring up.

A very overlooked feature is the overheat protection which makes the electric arc stop after roughly 7 seconds of straight usage.

12. What happens if I touch the heated area by accident?

13. Have we tried touching the heated area ourselves?

Yes! In the name of safety, we have touched the heated area and all our experience have been very similar: it is like touching two very hot pins. If you were to accidentally come in contact with the heated area, you can expect to have a similar effect to a traditional flame. However, unlike a large open flame, the area that comes in contact with your skin is very minimal. With the U-shaped guards, we have designed the lighter to avoid accidental contact as much as possible. This product will not electrocute you. It is similar to getting a burn with a regular lighter except the coverage is more like 2 hot pins to your skin.

14. Can this product be used as a Taser or for self-defence?

No, the Vibe Lighter is not intended nor promoted for these purposes. The Vibe Lighter’s only purpose is to be a replacement for regular candle lighters.
